Optimized cleaning capacity at Oatly’s facility in Landskrona
At Oatly’s facility in Landskrona, liquid, plant-based foods are produced on a large scale. Production includes pumpable products transported via piping systems and tanks to the various filling lines. High hygiene standards are a natural part of daily life in this type of environment, and stable, efficient cleaning is crucial for food safety.
After several years of operation with a decentralized 20-bar system, Oatly chose to upgrade to a centralized 40-bar system from Lagafors. The background was the need for increased cleaning capacity and a more efficient way of working as production evolved.
The 40-bar system has resulted in better cleaning results, reduced water and chemical consumption, and an improved working environment for the cleaning staff. It has also contributed to shorter cleaning times, as the manual handling of chemical canisters is eliminated, thereby freeing up more time for core operations.
💬 “We really appreciate how smoothly the centralized system works. Not having to handle canisters on a daily basis makes a big difference. We eliminate unnecessary steps and get a better workflow across the entire facility.” – Marcus Magnusson, Plant Manager, Oatly Landskrona
Through the upgrade, the facility has obtained a solution that better matches today’s production requirements, focusing on efficiency, the working environment, and stable hygiene performance.
