All eyes on Lagafors when the world’s leading trade fair for the meat-processing industry set new records

Lagafors’ CEO Magnus Elmblad and Produkt Manager Martin Johansson have just returned from the IFFA fair in Frankfurt and can conclude that this was our best fair. Ever.
This year’s IFFA fair was a hit. The number of visitors, exhibitors and represented countries all broke previous records—and so did people’s interest in Lagafors’ products. This means a great deal of new opportunities for our well-honed team.
“Following up all the new contacts and leads we established at IFFA is when the real work begins”, says Martin.

The Frankfurt IFFA fair’s position as the meat-processing industry’s most important meeting place has once again been confirmed. The interest in this year’s fair was record-breaking, with more exhibitors (1,027), visitors (63,000) and foreign visitors (66%) than ever before. The fair, which took place from May 7–12, attracted visitors in the industry from 143 countries who came to study products, services, innovations and development opportunities.

Full range for large and small customers
Lagafors, who exhibited at IFFA for the fourth time in a row, attracted a great deal of attention. Our booth showcased the full spectrum of our product range: we displayed our CCS, Centralized Cleaning System, our DCS, Decentralized Cleaning System, and our mobile units. Three concepts with slightly different strengths that highlight our ability to deliver high-quality hygiene solutions to both large and small-scale facilities.
Making such a large, recurring investment is a natural move for us at Lagafors, as it fits in well with our business plans. It shows that we are an innovative and long-term partner that can be counted on. At the same time, it gives us the opportunity to find inspiration, catch up on the state of the industry and support our international distributors.

Lots of new contacts to move forward with
This fair provided us with lots of new contacts, both in the meat-processing industry but also OEM suppliers who would like to integrate Lagafors products in their own offerings.
“We had a constant flow of very exciting visitors at our booth. Not just people who took a brochure and moved on, but who displayed a keen interest in our products, our company and what we could achieve together, says Magnus Elmblad.
Martin Johansson adds:
“It was a lot of hard work, but the response from industry insiders all around the world has been fantastic. It was our best trade fair ever. But we are by no means leaning back and feeling pleased with ourselves. Rather, we now have some hard work ahead of us as we follow up and convert these opportunities into sales. It’s going to be fun!
